Welcoming March - In search for wedding hall

Salam to all. Wow, I think this year moves incredibly fast, don't you think so too? It's March already. Yeah, we were both stressed out earlier this year because of our wedding hall hunting. It's like a never ending search to get a best hall with affordable price. Sometimes I think the wedding hall rental can be quite ridiculous because you only rent it for about let's say 6 hours? but charged people up to RM8k! what's your exact cost really?

Alhamdulillah, it's true when some people say, if you are sincere to get married, Allah s.w.t will show you the way and ease your difficulties. Finally, we have found our wedding hall. I seriously feel Allah s.w.t helps us and leads us to this. We never heard of this place before, but we bumped this wedding hall when we were surveying halls in Shah Alam area. It's our rezeki I would say, this place is newly opened for 2 months (when we went there) and there are a lot of free dates for weddings. I was so head over heels with this hall when I first stepped inside. Yeah, we straight away book our date on that day :)

The week after, when I want to pay for my booking deposit, I was told by the person in charge that the hall is almost full for that year! Who would've thought, only 1 week difference and the dates are almost blocked! I think it's too soon for me to reveal which hall that we've booked. Maybe next time in another entry. Whatever it is, I love what we have chosen! :)

Cameron Highland

Salam! Again, another entry! Gonna update as much as I can when I have the mood and most important, time! Last 2 weeks, my family and I had a short escapade to Cameron Highland. To tell the truth, last time I went to Cameron when I was about 5 or 6 years old and I barely remember it (>.<). I went another time when I was studied in Penang, but it doesn't count because we were just passing by Cameron and not dropping anywhere then..

This trip was actually planned by my brother-in-law because my sister who study at Russia was back for 2 weeks holiday. It was a brief and short trip because my brother-in-law is attached to hospital right now and cannot take too much of leaves. Anyway, Abah rented a car, Proton Exora because our family is large now with additional of my BIL and nephew :')

Went there on 25 January and stayed at one apartment there. I would say it was quite a journey to climb up Cameron Highland. The road is soo..jeeeez. I think anyone who ever been to Cameron Highland can imagine how bad it is. Yeah, I spent my time in a car sleeping because I had a headache due to uneven road. Since we arrived Tanah Rata in the evening, there was not much of activity we did except for going out for dinner. I forgot what was the apartment name that we stayed in but I would say it's pretty comfortable and quite strategic too because it is located in the middle of Tanah Rata town. What I remembered the location of the apartment was behind Maybank. There are 3 rooms and complete with kitchen and television. It shouldn't be a problem if you're planning to cook there because the kitchen fully equipped with refrigerator, kettle, rice cooker and cooking utensils :)

Just arrived. Yes, it is that cold!

My cute nephew!!!!

Next day, we checked out early from our apartment so that we could spend time visiting places in Cameron Highland. My mother cooked delicious nasi lemak that morning so we can save our pennies from having outside breakfast :P First visit was Strawberry Farm and it was pack of people there! The queue to buy fresh strawberries and other strawberry delicacies were long and disorganized. Little that we know that there are actually more strawberry farms/markets further up the road and this farm was actually the first we saw so...we just went there. Well, fair enough because my family also never been to Cameron Highland before while me is only based on my vivid childhood memories :P Lucky that my fiance sent me a map, so it does help us like a LOT kot. Thanks love :') We had an ice-creams, fresh strawberries with cream, strawberry juice and shakes. The taste? Hmmm..so-so. I think that probably because there were so many people :/

Being vain what I do best. Ignore the messy bed

Just ignore me. This is the view of the living hall

Tak paham kenapa perlu tonggek sikit :|

Yes...it doesn't look presentable because it's half eaten already (-_-)

After buying lotsa strawberries, we continued our journey to S Corner Central Market. Here, there are a lot of small shops selling varieties of Cameron Highland products under 1 roof! You can get fresh vegetables, mushrooms, tea, cordials, dried fruits, souvenirs and so on. Hence, it's easier for my mother to settle down everything here! Yeah, mind you, we are carrying a baby with us, and it's not an easy task to just simply go here and there. That's because, once he starts being cranky, yeah..we need to drop everything and settle him down first :P If you wanted to have a drink and rest, worry not as they have cafes here :)

Fresh Vegetables!

There's also mini strawberry farm here but it was closed..
....but my father turned the tag and didn't put it back on place which caused some people enter the farm.. (-_-)'

Mushroom!

Our initial itinerary was to go to Rose Garden, Cactus, Butterfly farm and so on. But, looking at the traffic, we canceled it. It is not going to be a pleasant journey to climb up the hill with heavy vehicle and drive with manual mode :/ The best option was to cancel it then. Yeah, the traffic was slow moving along the way from Tanah Rata until where I don't know because the Central Market is in Brinchang. I think it was a heavy traffic much farther because all the farms are further up the hill. Luckily, we were on opposite direction. Oh yes, we went to Cameron Highland from Tapah exit. I think the massive traffic was because of the public holiday on Monday. People took this opportunity to go for vacation. Luckily that we went there on Friday (where we had to take leaves, of course, but it's worth it!)

Look at the traffic!

On our way back, we did few pit stops but I didn't get out from the car because I was too tired and sitting at the back seat made it kinda difficult to get out. We then stopped at Bharat Tea Valley to have cuppa tea. I wanted to take pictures at the tea plantation area but the weather was so hot!! So, I just be in my comfort zone and sitting at the cafe there :P There was also lots of people here! The place was so packed!

After that we continued our journey. We wanted to drop by at Lata Iskandar waterfall to take pictures one or two but we were too tired by then. Plus, the road was full of cars parked here and there, so, we just skipped  it, again :/ We stopped at R&R Tapah to have lunch and perform our prayer. We ate our leftover nasi lemak that morning. See, save money and definitely it is clean and delicious because it's homecooked! :P

Muka kelaparan masing-masing

Ini paling kebulur. Kalau carik gaduh memang kena lepuk ni hahaha

Alhamdulillah, we safely arrived home just before Maghrib. It was a pleasant short vacation because this time around, my whole family is complete and that is matter the most :) Although there are some other places that we didn't visit, this trip is so meaningful to me because we hardly had time to gather completely, yeah, with marriage, work and some other commitments. InsyaAllah, there's more vacations to come in future and insyaAllah, I will come again to visit Cameron Highland, well, with me sleeping throughout the climbs for sure! :P

Maybank Malaysia Open

Salam to all. Since we have a long weekend due to Chinese New Year, I'd like to update more on my blog. Yes, although I know that no one bother to read..haha. Recently, my colleague and I were invited to attend Maybank Malaysia Open Charity Dinner at Times Square Hotel. If I'm not mistaken, it was on 15 January 2013. It was actually a charity auction event for fund raising to donate to Liver Transplant Centre of Hospital Selayang. Well...it wasn't really an invitation I would say, it was actually more for a job purpose. My boss was invited but she couldn't make it, and we were more like replacing her actually. No worries boss, I am willing to replace you in future events! :P The truth was, my client was coming that night, so it's compulsory for me and Lydia to be there to entertain them.

Went there with Lydia, my colleague and we arrived there about 8.00p.m after she fetched me up from office. This event was actually an auction of badminton-related stuffs and the money raised gonna be donated. Some of the stuffs that were auctioned that night were Datuk Lee Chong Wei's Olympic t-shirt, the rackets, replica of Thomas Cup trophy and yada-yada. If I'm not mistaken, the money raised that night was about RM200k++. Yeah..some people just don't know how to spend (-_-). But, I am glad because it's for a good caused :D

This event was hosted by the cute ever emcee, Sazzy Falak and attended by many respectable people namely our beloved Maybank PCEO, Dato' Sri Abdul Wahid, Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor and so on.

I've met a lot of important people that night. Such an honour to me actually to be at par with them on that night. Highlight of the night would be when I met Datuk Lee Chong Wei! No need introduction on him because we all know who is he right? Siapa tak tahu, jangan mengaku rakyat Malaysia please (-_-). Yeah, snapped some pictures here and there. It was a fun night anyway although we were a bit tied with protocols despite the casual concept event. Yes..of course you need to act cool and tak perangai jakun sangat when you are in such event. Haha :P Anyway, enjoy the pictures!

Emcee for the night, Sazzy!
