government test

last week, i went to UM to sit for government examination for the admin position graded N41. since my mother works there, so, she sent me then. who else anyway? haha. the exam starts at 9 am, but we arrived quite early, around 8am since mother always departs early to avoid traffic congestion (well, still have to face it tho!). this examination candidates are divided into 2 groups which are outside and inside candidates. inside candidates are those who works/study in UM itself. i had to take 2 papers which are English test and Aptitude test. there are roughly about 200 people that day!!! and the vacant position? i am pretty sure it's about less than 10 positions available. i think, i am among the youngest there since i kept glancing around others' slip (it stated ID number there). the rest are aged like 25 - 50. many are around 30 and above. ada jugak yang membawa perut :P

entrance

exam hall

since i had no idea what the tests gonna be like, so i didn't do any preparation. hati kering! for English test, we have to write an essay one out of three questions. first question is about why you want to work at UM --> nahh....no idea! second is what are the key skills required for Registrar --> nahhh....no idea AT ALL! and the third, is tips of effective communication. well, definitely i answered the third question! hehe.

hati kering..hueheheheheee

dup dap dup dap

next is on Aptitude test. this paper consists 40 questions and the question i must say, no need to study or reading, but COMMON SENSE is STRONGLY required! we have to read the question carefully and really understand the sentence structure before answering. plus, we have to think very hard every possibilities! seriously difficult. there are idioms, maths, quizzes and more. ok, let me give examples question that i remember (of course not in exact sentence nor answer anyway):

1- there are 20 hens. all but 2 died. how many are still alive? (this one quite easy)
A- 18
B- 2
C-10
D-none is alive

2- One house is build with rectangular shape with every sides facing Southern sun. then, one bear comes to that house. what is the colour of that bear? (I've got it wrong. i have no idea at all. i answered brown, but the true answer is Black T_T)
A - white
B - black
C - Brown
D - Grey

for Aptitude test, many candidates left the exam hall earlier. i don't know whether it's too easy for them or too difficult and they giving up? anyway, i am satisfied with my performance for English test, but not too confident for Aptitude test. i just leave the rest to Allah. if i were meant to be there, then, i'll be.

CSE

salam to all~
today i went for another interview at Citibank somewhere at Jalan Ampang as CSE. the interview suppose to be held at 10am, but as usual, i arrived quite early, that is around 9.15am or so. luckily the building is next to LRT Ampang Park, so, i don't have to walk much or craning my neck here and there to find the exact building/route. i want to tell here, isn't about the interview really, but the time wasted there. yes, most candidates arrived sharply at 10am, but their negligence to prepare themselves cost me too!! can you imagine, they go for an interview without bringing their resume? just the certificates alone? and...the certificates also not the photocopied sheet. the best part was, one of them did not prepare resume at all!! so, nice kakak there asked them (2 of them) to go to Ampang Park Mall which is opposite Citibank to type and to print all the requirements. what a waste of time! then, there was one of them did not know what is CV or what CV stands for and asked me what it means (=.=). after a while, one of them return (Indian girl) from Ampang Park and we have to wait for another one. turned out, when the Chinese guy return, he did not print his resume! it gets me weird because he also from the same recruitment agency as mine. i have the list, does he has one too? so, that Chinese guy has to come back tomorrow. then, we were brought to have a tour at Call Centre Department (Level 12) and then return back to Level 6 (Citiphone Department) for the interview session.

the meeting/waiting room

since i am the only Malay and i was the first to arrive, so, i am the first candidate to be interviewed while the other 2 went for lunch. this was the longest waiting of all!! i was told to be seated at the meeting room/waiting room at 11.00am and the interviewer arrived at 12.00pm!!!!!! luckily i brought a novel, so i killed my time by reading tho. i almost fell asleep actually waiting. all the nerves are gone already. the waiting part for interviewer didn't really make me mad because as an applicant, i don't mind waiting because it's me who wanted that job. it made me pissed to other candidates who did not bring their resume and such and wasted my time waiting for them for _____ nothing!! how negligence you are! although this is your first time and what not, but please please please be professional ok! it's common sense!! dah la lapar! sabar je lah (-_-)

the boring view T_T

the interview went ok. this is the longest interview i ever had. every detail in my resume they questioned me T_T *i should edit and write less later! hihihihi (evil laugh)*. but they were nice anyway. i was comfortable and i think i like the environment here. insyaAllah, with Allah's will, it might be here ;) interview ended at 1pm and i took train to Taman Jaya as bb wanted to pick me up there. hehe. accompanied him to Perodua service centre and then we went to RnR Awan Besar as bb wanted to take away some Satay Samuri. well, i bought some too :P there goes my today. right now i am preparing myself for tomorrow's test. i am sooooo afraid. i don't have even slightest idea what to expect and what to prepare. tomorrow's job is all i wanted, what i waiting for. please, please, please, let me get through this. pray for me yeah!

career and plan.

hello, today i want to post another entry about career and plan. yesterday was my gloom and sad day because i received 3 emails declining my job application. those 3 are among the jobs that i was hoping i could get through. i have no mood throughout the day. however, that evening, i received a phone call for an interview! and today afternoon, i went to KL to attend that interview with recruitment agency. it is somewhere at Petaling Street. i had to walk from Pasar Seni LRT station and find the building. it's quite challenging to find the place actually, i had to walk quite a distant, and check each building's name as every building at Petaling Street are old design and not easily be identified. alhamdulillah, the building i was looking for is new and the signboard is readable! haha. oh, its name is Kompleks Selangor by the way and the recruitment agency is named Tele-temps.

the interview went ok. it had 4 tests, including english and maths test. stupid math test as i took the malfunction calculator!!! by the time i changed the calculator and get back to my test, the time is already out T_T for one-to-one interview, well, quite dissapointed because i didn't answer good enough. they proceed my application anyway and i have to attend another interview this Thursday. tomorrow, i have an interview with F&B establishment at The Curve. then, i went home. stupid me that i didn't bring umbrella! i am all wet!! it rained quite heavily and i was wet from top to toe. my favourite shoes were soaked in water T_T too bad that i wore white shirt but luckily (very little) it is white with stripes, so, at least, it's not so see-through. haha. had to dry my certificates, dah la original pulak tu T_T below are pictures of Kuala Lumpur KTM station since i am boring waiting for train. never been here before (maybe i did when i was little?). sorry for the picture quality. taken by my cheap phone though.

when i got home, while folding samosa with my mother thru youtube (haha!), i opened my email and tadaaa!!! my application for government position is answered!!!!!! alhamdulillah!!! but, i have to take an aptitude test and english test before next screening. OMG. i am sooooo afraid!!! this position is for N41 grade, definitely other candidates are among the best too!! i am so freaking out. do you guys have any experience of government test before? i am absolutely having no idea at all how the test gonna be. i don't know what to prepare, what to read and what to remember. help!! i have only little confidency that i would get through, but i am praying for the best!

all this opportunities and turn downs had make me thinking. yesterday, i had been declined by 3 opportunities and today, Allah s.w.t replace it with another 3. the beauty of it is, this another 3 are far more better that the previous. yes, it is true, Allah's plan is better than any other plan. ;) Allahuakbar.

updates!

today's plan was to break fast at my father's hometown. before that, we dropped for a while at Shah Alam as my sister wanted to buy skirt and stuffs. Kompleks PKNS seriously has a very poor ventilation system. i feel like fainting anytime! didn't see any here, so we walked to SACC Mall then. to be honest, i don't really like buying stuff or shopping at Shah Alam. maybe because majority of people here are Malay, so the seller treated you very badly. they thought some people can't afford to buy their stuff. even though we already hold that item, they sometimes don't make eye contact or talk nicely to us. even worst, they don't even speak to us although we wanted to make payment. WTH??! Melayu sombong, huh! well, not all of course. on the other hand, when some people appeared rich-and-high-status, they treated them differently like ushering them from the entrance, giving comments and promote stuffs. that is why i prefer to do my shopping somewhere else.

ok, enough about that, i managed to get myself two new books! haha. actually, i accompanied my father buying his new phone. then, i gave some comments and help him choosing and then later, i asked him some money to buy books!! *bodek. i hate MPH here, because they don't wrap the books. yes. i prefer wrapped books, because it somehow give me perception that no one touch the book yet. still pure virgin. haha. I HATE BUYING BOOK WITH DEFECTS! i got myself these two, well, with additional some of my money too anyway ;p

finally, my Sophie Kinsella's set is complete! right now, i am waiting for 2nd September for Mini-Shopaholic to come out!! for eat pray love, i've been eyeing this book and lately i've been reading many good reviews about this book, so, i grabbed one today! thanks abah, without you, i would get the book but, maybe not as soon as today! heeee~

in car. my happy face. this is candid tho.

although i didn't fast, usually, i don't eat much during day. enough with cereal and milk or rather, none at all. so, during break fast, i would join them! haha. although sometimes i refuse to join but i know my mother would call me to eat together. well, we're only a small family anyway.

by the way, i am currently reading this:

borrow this book from my mother and i already half way through. highly recommended. after reading this, i got a better view about our Prophet's and his friends life. i love the way the author write this book like we're reading the story tale and we want to keep on flipping the next page. i saw this book at MPH priced at RM55.90. but i guess, it is also available at book stall (the one that always set up outside mall) with cheaper price. my uncle bought this at RM45.00.

ok, that's all. till then~

darling, break fast

went to Nandos pyramid today to break fast with bb. well, break fast here quite ok i must say compared to last year's at Mr. Teppayanki. seriously lousy and no comfort at all although we pay quite deary. you can read the previous post here. fortunately, Nandos keep the tables layout as usual. not arranging them as close as possible to next table and no more minimal move! we were lucky to get quite isolated table, so, i could eat with extra comfort. yes...i am fussy about my dining experience! haha. went to MPH to kill time before breaking fast and got myself this:

jodi picoult's: my sister's keeper

while bb got himself this:

translation of Holy Quran

and..the rest of our pictures. you can scroll down faster at this point. haha.

muka tak puasa...hahaha..hehehe...huhuu.. shhhh~

muka orang puasa. reading Holy Quran to distract his attention from food. hehe :p

bb too busy reading the book, so, i killed my time snapping random photos though..

i love this drawing. it was drew by Art student from UiTM and this drawing won Nando's some kind of contest. nice~

and...more of us..
bb hates this picture anyway :P

personal favourite

highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just like her previous The Time Traveler's Wife, a bit complicated and confusing at the beginning because many characters involve, but it is totally totally worth the reading towards the end. stayed up late last night to finish it..hehe. browse MPH online and other book stores too, unfortunately audrey's pieces are only these two which i already have it both ;(

it's saturday!

today, i went to KLCC - alone, to meet my long lost friend, fadhlina. she was one of my best friend when i was in form 2 and form 3. after she moved to melaka, too bad, we lost contact. then, few months ago, she traced me thru facebook (thanks to technology) and we keep in touch again! i just knew that she is actually further her study at UM, if i knew it earlier, i would definitely arranged to meet her before since my mother working there. today was her final day at UM, that is why i wanted to meet her so bad before she go back to her hometown. it was a very last minute plan like, i texted her last night to give my confirmation. i know, it's Saturday, plus with PC fair held at KLCC, it's going to be madness there. seriously, i felt like KLCC would collapse anytime when i was there. people were everywhere and squeezing next to each other in every space. relying on public transportation at this particular hour, it was totally MADNESS!!!!! too bad, i'm in rush and so she was, so, we only managed to spend about 2 and half hours together. plus with inconvenience environment :( but, it's enough for us to update each other plus reminiscing our school memories. hadn't meet her for 8 years and now we are again, how time flies!

i was off to LRT around 6 and hell no, there were too many crowd at the station especially at the ticket counter. it's like the same situation when you want to enter stadium. ass-to-ass. i need to squeeze myself in that crowd for about half an hour to get my ticket!! texting and calling bb while i was sweating, being pushed, pressed and queuing (i guess it's more like cramping myself since there was no line any) and he wrote at one of the message "get your ticket at the machine lah" (because bb waiting for me at Dang Wangi station). i was soo pissed off that i almost said "I AM AT THE FUCKING MACHINE!!!" HAHAHA. sorry bb, "almost" ok? i didn't say that anyway, well, i couldn't say that actually. no offense yeah? :P alhamdulillah, i'm tall enough to keep myself breathing although i was a little bit suffocated. by the way, couldn't see which was the counter and which was the machine anyway. people everywhere blocking my view. met bb (sempat jugak..hehe) at Dang Wangi station and together we rode the LRT to Taman Jaya station where bb parked his car there. thanks bb for sending me home! ;D hey, i love you! hehe :P

anyway, while waiting for Lina to arrive, i spent my time at Kinokuniya and got myself these *drum rolls:
i know i promised myself no more books after this but i just couldn't resist!!! they sell this book cheaper, so, i just felt like i must GET IT!!! i am such a Rebecca Bloomwood, i know T_T these books were nicely wrapped with plastic cover, too bad, when i arrived home, i noticed, there are some tear and the book cover had scratch a bit :( probably it happen while i was struggling to get my ticket though.
