Beijing - I'm Coming Home

Okay...I promise this would be my last post for Beijing. Sorry, a bit jakun here, almaklumlah first time pergi obersi gitu. Hak tuih. Hahaha.

After dinner (read my previous post), we were sent to Capitol International Airport. Our flight was scheduled at 2.00a.m in the morning. Must be bored as hell to wait that long! Nothing much we did at the airport though (What could we do pun?!).

But, I'm gonna tell another new experience at the Airport. That was to perform our Isha' prayer. Of course, being in foreign land, there was no prayer room in this airport. So, my friend found a spot that was quite isolated and perfect to perform our prayer. My telekung was already in the bag. So, I used my shawl to cover my head, jacket and a socks. We laid a shawl as our sejadah. Alhamdulillah, we managed to do our prayer there. But I noticed the cleaner there stared at us weirdly and about to scold us when we took our wudhu' at the sink in the toilet. And I know, there's some people who stop and stared while we performing our duty. Again, Alhamdulillah, no harms done.

Kemain happy kau eh. Tak tahu flight delay lagi time ni haha :P

Checking in. Beeb and I

At 12.00am (if I'm not mistaken), we went for check in and stuffs and wait for our flight to come. After about 1 hour later, we were told that our flight was delayed to 4.00am. Oh my god, another waits? And that's after being translated by Malaysian Chinese who were in the same flight with us. I got a bit pissed with this Airport staff as she didn't inform us anything and after being asked, she yelled in Chinese. Come on, this is International Airport man! Yes, a male airport staff did make an announcement but it was in Chinese. What the...

Muka pasrah ingat flight pukul 2.00am

Being exhausted, most of us slept on the chair but it wasn't that comfortable. Plus, most of the chairs were already taken so, there's no room for our legs to stretch. I saw some mat salleh and foreigners laid down on the floor sleeping and I asked my friend to do the same too. Well, we seriously need to lie down because our feet and body ache from the 4 days activities. I didn't care how it looked like as long as I get some 'comfortable' sleep. So, there we were, laying comfortably at the corner of the wall. I knew some of the passers by talked about us but I didn't care. Luckily there was no one to chase us away! :P I should've snapped a picture then but I didn't because I thought it would be humiliating. haha.

I  just didn't care what anyone would say. haha. Picture courtesy of Beeb

About almost 4.00am, I woke up with my body ache (because the floor is cold) and still, there's no sight of our plane! Then again, they told me the flight was delayed to 6.00am. Oh my. I texted my father and bb to inform this. Finally, after hours of waiting, at 6.00am, our plane is here. I could see all of the cabin crews pun muka masing-masing macam tapai masam. haha. We touched down about 12pm. Alhamdulillah. Although there were some turbulences during the flight (because of the weather, I worried as hell), we safely arrived. I know now what are all the fuss about jetlagged. Yeah..I slept for a day and took leaves for 3 days afterwards to rest. Haha. Over kan for only 6 hour journey without any transit :P

Oh Malaysia..alhamdulillah :)

Thank you air asia for making this journey affordable to me :)

Harimau Malaya

hello...I am just in the mood of writing here. I have a lot to share actually on what have been happened to me throughout 2012. But, maybe later or 'never'? ahaha. We'll see.

So, today I wanted to share on my experience going to football match. What, seriously?! I went to watch football match? I can't believe it myself too! Haha. I can't remember when was the last time I went to Stadium to watch football match. I think when I was 5 or 6? I remembered following my family to Stadium Shah Alam to watch Selangor team and High-5-ing with my sister whenever they scored. But, it was all too vivid memory for me now :(

By the way, I went to Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil last week with bb to watch our Malaysia team Harimau Malaya vs Singapore. The match started about 8.45pm and we made it on time! But, not too early to get the best seats because most of them were already occupied :( We sat at the front row and it wasn't a great view as we were blocked by the player seat.

About the match, well...I don't know how to describe a 'good match' or 'bad match' because I myself barely watching football and I don't understand the game so much. Hahah. I mostly played with my phone. Yeah..worst still, I almost bring my novel to the stadium..hahaha. Sorry, I just not into football :P Probably it was a bad match as Malaysia lost 3-0 to Singapore that night :( But, I did yelled, cheered and clapped my hand whenever there were any good moves. Yes, I did paid attention but for on and off :P Yeah, I bored bb with some stupid questions like which our goal was, how many minutes per game? what are the free kicks? yada yada..haha. Such a zero knowledge in football! HAHAHA.

Overall, it was a good experience. It was fun to see the spirit of the supporters read: Ultras Malaya. I love watching their moves and listening their chant/cheer to support Harimau Malaya. I wonder how long it would take to practice?

Excited much? HAHA

Packed with people!

The couldn't-care-less face. I look so minimal.

Look how excited he was!

Ze Harimau Malaya team!

Some of the banners. They were pretty awesome!

Beijing - 4th day. Last Day

Finally, it's my final day here. 4th day of Beijing vacation! Felt a bit sad but excited to go back at the same time. How I miss Malaysia! (ek eleh..baru 4 hari haha). We've done with packing a night before and it's time to say bye bye to this lousy hotel. I mean, the room is okay, only the staffs and coffee house sucks big time! I left some of my instant noodle there. Buat berat je bawa balik. Just some treats to housekeeper as she needs to clean our dirty room later. haha.

Wajiblah all those chocolates dah habis. I distributed them with my room mates. Beeb and Mas, I know you guys love me because of this kan?! haha. I only left about 5 packets of Maggi as a token of appreciation to housekeeper. haha.

Messy bed. And that was after the attempt to pull up the blanket to make it appear more decent

Our room. Bye now

Yeah, our bags gave birth to few more bags.

The hotel reception. Not so hospitable though. I witnessed a customer made a complaint by shouting to the hotel staffs. Instead of calm her down, the hotel staff shouted back to the customer!

First destination for today was to a Diamond Shop. Forgot what it called. Because we're not interested enough to buy anything here. They're expensive and we have no money left (of course, it's day 4 already!). The shop owner is someone from Penang, Malaysia. He said he would gave us a great discount yada yada. I bet he said the same thing to everyone else too. But anyway, we had fun trying out all different diamonds, sapphire and stuffs. Girls will always be girls right? Too bad, we were not allowed to take any pictures here :/

This ship made from jade!
This is before we were told not to take any pictures
Fresh tofu and bean sprout outside the shop. My mother would be delighted to see this! haha
After that, we went to the famous Bird Nest Stadium! I guess, no need for introduction on this. It was built for the 2008 Olympics. Too bad, we visited here in the morning and the it's quite foggy there. So, again, the pictures turn out quite blur. I mean, our faces were clear but the stadium was covered by the fog because it's quite far from where we were :/ I love the weather here. It's cold and breezy (that explains why I wear my glove. Bukan bajet k-pop tau! haha).

Bersihnya

Feeling cool

Panda Panda

Yours truly

Ahh..Mak Jemah tak sangka sampai sini uolls

The best I could came out with..

Looks like I'm doing a video clip?

We had some snacks afterwards..

Look how big the fruit is?!!
This is the best rock melon I've ever tasted! Sedap nyaaaa! It's crispy, it's sweet it's juicy it's..just yumms. Dah lah besar! Oh by the way, he's a Muslim. Whenever Muslim sellers saw us, they would greet us with Assalammualaikum and called us 'Aisyah'. Comel kan?

Then we were brought to Wangfujing Road. This place is also being called as 'Beijing Bintang Walk' because maybe it looks like Bintang Walk? That explains? haaha. We were given about 4 hours here. Since our money has dropped to almost zero, we just walked around and taking pictures to kill time. Plus, all the items here we could get in Malaysia. However, I'd like to highlight on Forever 21 here. It's 3 stories, and it's way cheaper than Malaysia! I mean, the t-shirts in F21 Malaysia would cost us about RM60+ right? Same as here, they're cost about 60 yuen. But, if divide to our currency, the prices would be half from ours. Thus, they would cost you about RM30+ jeeeee! Crazzzzzyyyyyyyy. If we came here on the first day, for sure I would spend like insane. Mind you, if F21's price already like that, I just didn't have the nerve to enter Zara, MNG and stuffs because it would make me scream in those stores to see how cheap they are. Hahaha.

3 tingkat pastu lagi murah. hmmph.

Kumpulan dikir barat

Oh yes, my friends and I love to drink minutes maid here. It was because they're tasted sweeter and has lots of pulpy. Yumms.

What's your flava?

Dear Future Husband, I want!!

Lunch time! Our last lunch here. I kinda like this restaurant. It's like Italy-kind-of concept. But at the outside part lah. Inside looks like school canteen je..heeeee

After lunch, as usual, we went to perform our prayer at Nan Dou Ya Mosque. Another mosque in the middle of a city.

See the chairs and tables? Remember about my post on learning at the mosque?
The time shows here isn't to indicate a prayer time but time when the Jemaah starts.

Later, we went to another market here. Yashon Clothing Market. I guess, this is the cheapest place among all the places we went. I think the tour guide purposely doing this. Yelah, because if we spend at the mall, he didn't get any commission here. But too bad, I didn't have enough money left. So, I just walked around dengan sakit hatinya. haha. While waiting for other friends to finish their shopping, Beeb and I sat outside while eating mango our ice-cream for the last time :'( It's quite pricey here, costed me about 5 yuen whereas at the Halal Market it's only 2 yuen. It's quite fun actually to sit outside while chatting with friends because I think it was the time to bond our friendship tighter. Yelah, I seldomly met my schoolmates, so I think this trip really make us bond together :') Plus, with the new friends, it was the perfect time for me to know them better. Well, despite cuci mata with all those handsome mat salleh outside. Hahaha.

Spot my favourite ice-cream!

Cancer sticks

Minah Salleh with their bicycles. Gigihnya nak cycling dekat Beijing

Alin was the biggest spender yet she save the most among us. She only shopped on our last day. Lucky you. Envy you!

Then, after we were done with our last shopping, it's time for our last place to visit. Beijing Hard Rock Cafe. Yay! But Nay! for the purse. Hahaha. Wanted to grab some merchandises here, but because I have no money left, I just swallowing my saliva while look at them with tears in my eyes T_T Think positively, they are all made in China anyway. Oh my, why we always be skeptical about "Made in China"? haha.

The panda is so cute!!

Cuter me. HAHAHAH

One more interesting thing, in Beijing, we always see this Red Bull advertisement that uses Lin Dan as a model. So, I always wanted to take a picture of it. However, this advertisement board usually placed at the bus stop and apa kerja pulak kan tiba2 nak stop dekat situ ambil gambar. Coincidently, maybe it's our (Beeb and I to be precised) rezeki that night, there was a nearby bus stop at Hard Rock Cafe. So, Beeb and I took our opportunity to snap a picture there. It's a good feeling as when the locals there saw us taking picture with 'Lin Dan' they showed a thumb up sign. As we mentioned we're from Malaysia and said 'Lee Chong Wei', they nodded to acknowledge and again a thumb up! Hahaha.

So, now it's time for our last destination, last restaurant, last dinner in Beijing. Mentang2 last day, everything I put 'last' to emphasis more. haha. I really love our last restaurant. Maybe because it was our last dinner (last lagi), so the food quite a lot. It's good too. Alhamdulillah, so far when I was in Beijing, I never encountered any food problem. All were good. I ate quite a lot there! My friend said this restaurant quite famous among Malaysians as she read about it before. Malaysians who came here would paste RM1 notes and a business card on the wall. Well, of course yours truly wanted to put one too! Sampai ke Beijing I brought my business card. Well, in case..hahaha.

Cili kering pun dijadikan lauk..

RM1 notes

Business cards
Yeah! I was there!

Dork face

Now...it is the moment of truth! We're going back to Malaysia. After dinner, our tour guide sent us to Airport. Wasn't really a pleasant journey because it was raining. Well, making me worried a bit to fly in such weather. We bid our goodbye with Ali and he did apologize for everything. Hmmpphh.

Although the story of our itinerary in Beijing is over, but there's also some stories at the airport that I want to share. Maybe in the next post as I don't want this entry to be so long. Till then..daa.
