new babies..hehe

today i've received a parcel that i had been waiting for weeks!! well, ok, let me start from the beginning yeah. i've been eyeing and doing online shopping for books with one of my facebook friend. she sells books at seriously freaking cheap price!! paperback books for averagely around rm26-rm28 (normal price rm35), while hardcover books for rm32-rm38 (normal price at rm70-rm90++). cheaaaaaap isn't it? however, some of the books are sold very fast, so you have to browse at her page frequently to book your favourite books. although it may sometimes take time to wait for the availability of book, but it's really worth for the price you paid. so, add her up yeah? this is her link: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1717494411&ref=ts. or, you can search her by name: booksforcharity.

ok, back to my story. the parcel delivery man arrived my home around 1030am while i was still sleeping so i didn't hear their call. i don't know how long they've been standing outside but i guess, it's long enough to hear them making some rude comments while i was standing there signing the form. i know i looked awful with my just-wake-up face, but you can make that statements you know. not everyone is working office hour and has normal sleeping hours like you dammit!! however, i was too sleepy (plus without brushing teeth yet) that i didn't make any reply or they'll be sorry hearing that. let me just keep it to myself what they had said. enough about them. fullstop.

the parcel

i am soo happy to receive my books. they're finally here!!! i bought 3 books which are by Madeleine Wickham: Cocktails for 3 and The Gatecrasher and another one is from Cecelia Ahern: Thanks for the Memories. the books are soo pretty because they're hardcover which obviously freaking expensive at the book stores.

my new babies!

i'll start working tomorrow, so i don't know when can i start reading them :( anyway, my next books in my wishlist are by Madeleine Wickham too, which titled are Sleeping Arrangement and The Wedding Girl. they're already sold out, boo! so, i can't wait for them to be restocked!

date!

last weekend, i was a bit tied up with activities. first, going on date with bb, second, my house having a bit of small makan-makan party and third, i went to some friends' and relatives' open houses. i didn't meet bb for weeks now, we haven't even met in this Raya month :( so lucky that bb got his off day on weekend, so, we went out :D the bad side was, my mother decided to hold some small feast party at my house on the same day! i'd already told her that i wanted to go out since last monday and asked her like thousand times is it ok to go out and leave her alone to handle the guest and she said it's fine that she could do it alone. but, at the end of the day, i had to delay my date to give her a hand in preparation (=.=). well, it's not really an open house, so don't feel sad i am not inviting because the ones who attended was my mother's siblings and some of abah's friends who coincidently were around. the menu of that day were Masak Lemak Cili Padi Rebung, Ikan Keli Goreng Bercili, Ayam Berempah & Pecal. the night before, i already made Marble Cake to be served along :P

ok, enough about that. let's back on bb and i topic :P we went to The Curve to spend time there. as usual, chatted with each other, eat bla..bla..well, what else a couple do? went to MPH there and guess what i've spotted?? it's Mini-Shopaholic in US edition!!! wahh..the cover is soo cute and sooo blue!! geram!! but, i already have one, so, i put it back on rack :P

then, another thing was.....i too spotted Madeleine Wickham's book, The Wedding Girl placed next to Mini-Shopaholic!! oh no!! i wanted this book soooo bad but it is sold out on Books-Internet-Shopping T_T felt like grabbing it, but unfortunately that this book is a paperback version. the one i wanted in internet is hardcover version which is a way cheaper that this. so, i guess i rather wait :(

i reached home around 5pm and i planned to invite bb to come in to eat because i thought my relatives were already home since mak invited them for lunch. but actually, it was a peak of the event since most of them arrived around 4pm (=.=) to my surprised, when i stepped in, everyone was eagerly waited to see my bb (=.=)'. luckily bb didn't come in or else he must be nervous to the maximum level! hehe :P mother said, let it be a surprise until our wedding!! haha. so, that's all about our date, and let me end it with our pictures! :P

gedik ain't it? i know..haha

Westlife?

today, my entry is about reminiscing old memory of me being a teenager. well, to be exact, the period during my school days. but don't worry, i will not write my whole story life because it would be not enough space..haha. i just want to write about my favourite artist when i was young. everyone has their favourite celebrity am i right? only the level of favouritism differs from each other. some being too fanatic and moderately liking those artists. i was in..err..which group eh? actually, i was quite fanatic back then (malu nak mengaku).

i know, some people will wondering who i was sooo into then. i bet, my school friends know exactly who are they. it's *drumrolls* WESTLIFE. haha. okaayyy..you guys can laugh right now, i don't care. haha. but i guess, it's normal and typical back then for those who are in their twenties right now to liking boybands like Nsync, Backstreet Boys, A1, BBMak..bla..bla. do not lie that you guys also ever had a fantasy of marrying them right??? (ke aku sorang je?) hahahaha. SILLY.

seriously, i was so head over heels with them back then. i collected all their albums, posters, stickers, magazines and i even went to their concert!! for me, liking an artist has a bad side and good side too. in bad side, i guess everyone aware that these immature teenager being too fanatic that they don't focus on their study, keep on day dreaming and wasting money on them. for me, i have both sides. on bad side, of course, i admit that i wasting money buying anything related about them. until there is one quite extreme level that i even bought Chinese newspaper just because it had westlife picture featured in it although obviously i can't read Chinese. i also bought imported magazines which clearly freaking expensive. i saved up my school pocket money for it!

however, looking back what i did those days, i was thankful actually for making Westlife as my so-called idol back then :P to make a confession here, i was very very weak in English (well, still do!) when i was kids because i grown up with my grandparents who obviously couldn't speak in English nor understand them. my environment also contributed to my weakness. living at countryside area (Dengkil), most of my childhood friends and their parents aren't conversed in English. to summarize, i wasn't expose to it at all. i scored B for English in UPSR by the way. hehe.

but everything change when i stepped into secondary school (in a year 2000). must be you guys remember very well a song sang by Westlife "Flying Without Wings". i loved that song so much that i bought their album and it was a platform to change my life. i became too obsessed with them and i even memorized all the song lyrics. to like an English artist, of course just reading articles in local magazine wasn't enough right? especially when you are a kind of person who would cut all the pictures in magazine and collected them (yeah..that's me). so, i started buying local English magazine, Galaxie and only stop buying them when Galaxie transformed itself into a smaller size (i think they're cutting cost?). obviously, when you liking that artist so much, although i didn't understand a word in English, i forced myself to read it and kept on flipping the dictionary. can u believe it that i even translate the song lyrics?? English had been one of my most hated subject back then but it's all change because of Westlife! how great their influence in me..haha. i became more interested in English because i wanted to understand articles about Westlife especially the one that featured in international magazines like Smash Hits, Hitz, bla..bla.

many people said that i am way too obsessed with them including my parents for sure but today, when i looking back, i am thankful that i was such person then. liking somebody forced us to do anything and in my case, i loved Westlife too much that i'm willing to learn English. haha. well, as for today, i am no longer a person i used to be before. no longer a young teenage girl who collected all the posters and such. nor do i have any fanatic feeling over my favourite artists. :P

oh, another thing, although my English isn't that good, but it's enough for me to survive! haha.

pakwe-pakwe lama saya!

takada ;(

oh no! takada is sick again. he's got a fever, but fortunately this time, his temperature isn't so high like last time. after did some shopping at pyramid last saturday (with limited budget, of course!), abah and us sent taka off to veterinar somewhere in near ss15. well, as usual, he's got an injection and also a medicine. being a very very wild cat, he just can't sit quietly. even the doc said he is soo wild. haha. spoiled cat. alhamdulillah, taka is getting better, but his voice still hoarse and slow and his appetite also effected too. :(

thursday story

today, i went for another interview at The Curve for management position at Italiennies. junior management trainee it is. the interview went quite ok, it just that i fell asleep while waiting for my turn to be called :P one of the interviewer is Italian guy, so, i had a little difficulties communicating with him. i don't understand his English. his Italian accent too strong! reading my blurry face, he then said, don't be ashamed to ask anything i don't understand because his English is quite different. haha. with God's will, maybe i'll start after Raya. but, it is still under consideration and there is no black n white yet, just verbal confirmation. after the interview, i browsed around The Curve just to ease my mind (if only it's not fasting month!*i love the smell whenever i passed food booths/restaurants). went to Borders and bought a puzzle book, and then regretted over it because it is way too difficult! caught my eye of Mini-shopaholic display, and guess what, they sell them at 20% off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not fair!!! if only i waited for another 12 hours from last night purchase T_T fuh..fuh (inhale -- exhale) it's ok after all because bb gifted it to me anyway :P *thanks love! then, i got myself a lip care from Body Shop because during this fasting month my lips dried to the extreme level! i love the SA. so sweet and nice~ hee~

after that, i planned to take taxi to go to PPUM to visit my grandfather. too bad that they don't drive their passenger that far, so i asked them to send me to Kelana Jaya LRT station instead. i was cursing (in my heart of course) at each rate raised at the taxi meter. so FREAKING EXPENSIVE!!! rm11.80 from The Curve to Kelana Jaya LRT station!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! only God knows how much they would charge me if i took taxi to PPUM. took LRT until University station (way cheaper, phew) and then, take another cab to drop me at Medicine Faculty so that, i can walk towards the hospital from there. i refused to ask the taxi to send me straight to PPUM, because i'm worried that they would charge me higher since they have to take quite a distance route to reach PPUM. at first i had a thought that i rather walk from LRT station to Medicine Faculty, but i guess, i need to break my fast if i do. haha. there goes my money. sigh~

good news, atuk is scheduled to be discharged today! yipee! but, as usual, it took sometimse to settle down with doctor's report, payment bla. bla. my grandmother (my father's side) is also on her scheduled check-up today, so, i rode home with abah then since emak will be at the hospital to settle all the procedures. well well, looks like i am incharged to prepare for dinner tonight, that's why i need to get home with abah (=.=) anyway, there goes my day~ hehe
