Assalammualaikum and hello! Now it's time for my 3rd day in Beijing. Bear with me ok as I still got another 1 day left..hehehe. As usual, had my breakfast in my room, hot Milo and bread to the rescue!
We started our journey today by going to Summer Palace. Gosh, another palace. I didn't know much about this place since our tour guide still being sulky with us. I think it's a place for the Emperor to spend his time off. Like a vacation house or something. It's ok, you can always googled that :B This place is hugeee! And it's so beautiful!!!!!!! I'm in love with this place...Nothing much we did here, this place is mainly for sightseeing. But, it's definitely worth it because it is so beautiful. Plus, with the cold breezy weather making this place much more romantic! Just enjoy the pictures..Oh, sorry for the bad quality picture of the palace. It's located on the island in the middle of the lake. It's quite foggy that morning, hence resulted to all the pictures of this palace turn out blur :(

Cantik kan payung ni?! Didn't buy them though. No money T_T |
Later, we went to Pearl Centre. It is near Beijing Olympic Stadium. We watched the demonstration on how they peeled off the oyster skin to get the pearl and they are actually a lake breed oyster which is cheaper than oysters from the sea. They sold the pearl pretty cheap here if we bought more than 10 (they always have this kind promotion at every shops, typical). All of us bought the pearl here. I got myself a necklace and earring. There are a lot of pearl products here, pearl powder, pearl cream and much more. As usual, they sell them with promotion like buy this particular set and got a free gift something2. It's always like that. I'm pretty sure Ali the tour guide very pleased with this because after got off from this place, he started talking to us again. Well, that's because he got the commission quite a lot from here.

I like this sales girl. She's really pretty. I mean look how flawless her skin is! |
Peeling off the pearl. They gave us one each but I lost mine there. haha |
Prettyyyyyyyy |
Prettierrrrr haha |
These are what we bought! Most of them bought bracelet and necklace. I got myself an earring. Probably because I am the only one who doesn't wear tudung..hehe |
Anyway...something happened at this shop. The price of those pearls that we took was altogether 1000 yuen. Since, I kind of short of cash, I offered to pay using my credit card and they going to pay me by cash after. However, when I swiped them, they're declined! What a humiliating experience. I texted my Maybank colleague to check on this, called AMEX (They charged me like million ringgit!) yada yada. Then, came to the conclusion, my credit cards were actually already exceed the credit limit! HAHAHAHA. How embarassing!!!! Yes, I cleared them off before going to China but 1 day before, I did some last minute shopping (buying gloves and such at Winter's Warmers) and it costed me hundreds there. But, staffs at Pearl Centre are really nice. They even lent me their handphone to call to Malaysia. Oh my god. It's must costed them quite a lot. Thanks so much for their beyond expectation service for helping me to that extend. I'm touched :')
Lunch time!

Happy faces |
Then, we performed our prayers afterwards at Fayuan Mosque..Going to the mosque always be a moment that we're waiting for. Because that would be a perfect place for us to let out what we've been holding on that day, read: pee. The reason because mosque is the only place that has water supply for their toilets. Nope, although I had wet wipes, I still prefer water to wash any areas that should be washed. haha. Note: Most of toilets in China no water supply. It's preferable if you could bring your own water (put them in bottle), just in case.
I love the detailing of this mosque. Most of China's mosques have this kind of details & architectural |
Macam mualaf tak? haa..puii :P |
Roti Arab. But this version keras kedaung |
Kacang with honey/caramel and dried fruits. Most of China's mosques that we went, there's always people that sell this. Bought myself one too but it's too sweet for my liking. |
After praying, we were brought to Foot Massage Training Centre. It's the moment that we've been waiting for. Of course, because we were told that we would be given a free feet massage! Yeah, after such a tiring 'exercise' at Great Wall day before, we desperately in need of massage. However, they soaked our feet first before massaging. The water is freaking hot!!!! It's boiling water! They said, water need to be hot, so that all of the bacteria would die. Seriously, not just bacterias, my feet also were cooked on that day. After that, they massage us. Seriously, they're not that sincere pun. Tak ikhlas langsung. Just pinching here and there. One of them also complaining on how long it would take to massage our feet. Too bad that she complained while massaging my friend who knows Mandarin. While they massaging our feet, came a so-called doctor and a translator. They checked our pulse and told us our disease. Yes, they told us all that we have a chronic disease that couldn't be cured buy eventually could by buying their medicine..yada yada. I told him that I had period cramps and they told me that I need to buy medicine or else my period cramp would lead to cancer. Aren't period cramp normal??? Of course none of us bought anything there.
My water turns to dark colour. Plenty of toxic and bacterias in there! haha |
Briefing by shop owner kot? He's Indonesian |
Beeb pengsan setelah bacteria sumber tenaga dah hanyut dalam air panas :P |

Kotak ubat tabib Cina |
After that, we went to Dr Tea, as its name, a tea shop. Here, we were shown a demonstration on how to prepare tea. The best part was, we got the opportunity to taste all the samples. Oh, they were gooooood. Plus, some of them detoxify too. As a proof, I myself went to toilets few times that night. pfft. I didn't buy any tea here anyway. First, because I didn't have enough money and second, the taste of the tea more or less are the same like tea my parents bought in Russia. I still have lotsa them in various flavours at home. Oh yes, one more thing, it's a tradition to drink Chinese tea as loudest as you could because it shows that the tea is good and to please the hostess of the house.
Tea sets. Pretty expensive here. |
Yam pui hooii |
This is the most expensive tea sold here. This one is to detoxify our body |
and a video, of how 'loudest' we drank the teas on that day!
Lastly, the moment that we've been waiting for...Shopping time! We were brought to this one mall. People here are more courteous compared to Silk Street Market. The prices also cheaper. I shopped few more items here like t-shirts, bags and more souvenirs. I didn't ask prices for any table cloths or table runners here because it hurts me more to know that the prices they offered way cheaper than the previous places we've been to. Here, you really need to have a good bargain skills and high of patience to get the prices that you wanted. After being scolded days before, I learnt that skill though and I got some pretty prices for items that I wanted. If they say you pretty, do not get flattered too soon! You need to reciprocate back by saying they are pretty too. hahaha. That's one of the tactics. Then, if they don't give the prices you want after bargaining (more to arguing I think), simply walk away because eventually they will call you back and give the price! It takes time I know, but if you're holding short of cash, this is what you desperately need to do. haha.

Pearl lagi |

They're not even a branded items but freaky expensive. It's better to buy them in Sg Wang |
Later that night, I spread all the items I bought on my bed. It was our last night in the hotel and we need to do the packing though. I am aware of my lack of skills in packing, so doing it earlier would be the best. Oh yeah, I even asked bb to add more of my luggage weight because I did a lot of damages to my pockets! Surely I do not want to pay for extra weight at the airport.
Most of them are souvenirs. Not for me though :/ |
That's all for my 3rd day updates. Stay tune for my last day in Beijing. Ye..nak balik dah. hehehe
