Backstreet Boys live in Malaysia 2015

Yes.....you heard me right!!! Backstreet Boys are back in town! But it was my first attending their concert. Yesterday, 3rd May 2015, Backstreet Boys came to Malaysia for their latest album, In A World Like This  concert tour. It was held at Stadium Negara. It was one of the event I've been anxiously waiting from the day it was announced since I hadn't been to any concerts for almost 2 years. The last was Maroon 5 in 2012. Lama gila kan?! Too many factors, one is money and one is time and my condition. 2013, I was busy preparing for the wedding hence gotta save every penny and in 2014, I was pregnant. Memang tak lah nak terkinja masa mengandung, silap hari bulan terberanak kat situ, terus azankan atas stage pulak..hahaha.

The concert was held at Stadium Negara. It was my first time being there. Okey...I have so many bad things to say about the venue and organizers, but let me tell the fun part of the concert first ok? To be frank, I am not really a big fan of BSB, but it's impossible for you not knowing their hits song and I am pretty much, I mean those who same age as me and older were growing up listening to their songs. So, knowing that they make a come back and what more to come for a concert, it's like an opportunity you just can't afford to miss!! To watch groups like N'sync, BBMak, 5ive, O-town and the rest are quite impossible since they have breaking up. To sum up, it's like a one in a million chance! Kalau new artistes like One Direction, Justin Bieber and such, i don't really bother because they're still young and there'll always be a chance for them to come back. Hahaha. Anyway, that's only my personal opinion since I'm in a tight budget :p

The gate was opened at 7.30pm but I think they have opened it earlier because when we entered the stadium, the seats were filled already. Yes, my tickets were for free seating, that's why you've gotta come early to get the best seat available. But too bad for us, my husband is a "on-time" type of person, we were departed from our house at 6.00pm. We reached there at almost 7.00pm and the parking there are crazy! I've never been to Stadium Negara before but aren't all stadiums supposed to have a parking space?! All cars were parked along side the road and some even parked on the divider. Perghh...rosak kereta woii. We were wasting our time to find a parking and finally managed to get one at a proper parking area. It's ok to be a bit far and pay as long as our car is in secured place. The walking distance from our parking to the stadium was about 1km!

A good thing about this concert, it started on time and there was no opening artist..yay! Unlike Maroon 5 last time, the concert was only started at 10pm! Their opening song was "The Call" and I must say they still have their aura and the 'kick'. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves last night and relive again our childhood memories singing along to their hits. Of course, we stood and danced too towards the middle of the concert. I was afraid to dance from the beginning because worried that people might throw bottles to us for blocking their view. Hahaha. I totally had a blast watching them. They are so funny and I love the way they interacted with audience. Made me felt very appreciated by them. Yes...22 years in the industry and they really know how to win their fans hearts. They are so humble and down to earth although they are quite a seniors. Oh gosh, talking about seniority, I would say they really aged!! They look old and even Kevin mimicking that he is sakit pinggang! Haha. Most of the songs were also dedicated to their kids. That old eh? Seriously, one of the best concerts and hats off to Backstreet Boys! The fans are going crazy singing to hits like As Long As You Love Me, Quit Playing Games With My Heart, Shape of My Heart and more. As usual, at any concert, celebrities would mimicking that they are leaving by saying goodbyes and turning off the light but they are actually not. How could they when they not yet singing their most popular songs. And so, they came back to sing Everybody and Larger than Life. I love how they danced, so cute to watch them dance the same moves like when they were young when they are all old already! Totally totally relive the memories and transported all of us back to the 90s! The concert ended at 11pm. And today, I'm having body ache due to excessive exercise (read: dancing) last night! Turun sekilo kot..acah acah Zumba lah konon! Hahaha

The bad part about the concert was the seating arrangement. Yes, I admit that we bought the cheapest ticket available and it has to be as far as possible from the stage. But the cheapest isn't the excuse to place us with a blocked view! I've been to many concerts and some are under the cheapest rank but we can still see a whole stage may it from the left, right or centre of the stadium seats. But last night, when the boys are at the back, I mean at the stage feature wall/screen, we can't see a thing! Screen pun not helping as it was blur. Last time although we were seated far but the screen was clear so it really wasn't an issue for the cheap tickets as we watched the same thing as those expensive ones. Malam tadi only those who seated with a better view could watched what the boys are doing or what the backscreen are showing. It's so unfair! We are paying customers too!

You see what I meant?! We only can see them whenever they moved at the front stage. Haih...such a disappointment. Serious, memang sangat tak puas hati. You can't fool us despite us paying such amount. Then another thing is parking area. Aren't a stadium suppose to have a special/proper parking area? As what I mentioned earlier, we parked quite a distance, and majorities of the cars were parked/double park along side the road. When the concert is finished, as we on our way to our parking, we could see many of the cars were damaged. I don't know whether are they on purpose or by accident. Looking at the damage, I would say it was done on purpose since the area is limited for cars to move about. There's one Peugeout car was seriously damaged, side mirror patah, lepas tu lampu kereta pecah kiri kanan. There's a Myvi dengan bumper dah jatuh and some other damages to some of the vehicles. What make it the alongside parking area worse are, the stadium's surrounding is under a construction area. Rasanya boleh imagine macam mana sempitnya kawasan tu, dengan kon sana sini, kereta nak jalan, orang berjalan lagi, construction debris..

During the concert pulak, it was raining quite heavily outside. Although, the stadium is roofed, but it still leaking! I could feel the rain drops and poor to those who seated in front of me, his seat is soaking wet! I guessed the leaking is all over because Brian, the BSB member extended his hand and looked up while performing. He's mentioning something about the rain, but it's not clear (don't let me start with sound system...), so I guess the leaking also at the centre of the roof too.

Please please please, TicketPro or any other Organizers of this concert, next time if you want to choose a venue, please choose a proper one. This is by far the worst venue I've ever been too. Despite all this, we still having fun though. Thank you for coming Backstreet Boys, hope to see you again soon!

Oh yes, before I forget, after the concert ended, I wanted to buy t-shirt as I didn't manage to buy one when we come (because we're rushing to get into the stadium). Since there are so many people, I just grabbed any t-shirt with my best judgment on the designs. And what a perfect grammar they have..I just hope people would ignore it anyway....hahaha. Original merchandise is freaking expensive for wear-at-house t-shirt.
