we arrived at the venue quite early, around 7pm or so. yes, this time i didn't bring my SLR in because i was afraid that the same thing gonna happen like the last Maroon 5 concert. tickets that i bought this time were for free seating which means, if you're early, you'll get the best seat and if you're late, well, you just sit wherever is empty. we were quite lucky because we got the front seat (the upper level of course) which surprisingly got the better view compared to Maroon 5 concert last time though the tickets then were more pricey (=.=).
the concert is delayed a bit from what was scheduled. it supposed to start at 8.30pm but it was delayed until 9pm which made me and other fans quite disappointed. but, they appeared anyway and started the concert with song titled 'When You're Looking Like That'. i can't believe myself that i still can sing along to this song after years not listen to it. it's reminding me of their concert in 2001 which i attended because they started their concert then with the same song! i still can remember their danced to this though. haha.
overall, i think their performance were quite ok. it's upset me somehow because they didn't sing their old hits since i bet most of the attendees came to walk down their memory lanes reminiscing the high school days where Westlife was a hit then. i understand why they sang most of their new songs because this concert is called "Gravity Tour" which they wanted to promote their new album. but, it's more upsetting when they did a medley of other celebrities' popular tunes as a highlight to their show. they sang cover of Coldplay, Rihanna, Lady Gaga & Black Eyed Peas. it was enjoyable and of course people would sing along because they're popular hits but mind you, we came to Westlife concert to listen to Westlife's songs not to watch Westlife singing other people songs! yes..i know that they're love to do cover songs but that medley aren't featured in any of their albums anyway. it's like watching a singing reality tv shows when they did that.
it would've been great if they do a medley of their popular songs (especially from the earliest album) which i bet would make the crowd happier since they came back after 9 years! yes, we are all miss you boys that's why we (maybe just me?) felt like we were being betrayed! ok, maybe i'm a bit exaggerate on the betrayal part but that's what i feel anyway. on the vocals, Mark & Shane conquer it all, their voice is beautiful as always. what i love about them is that, they really appreciate their fans by keep on saying how they glad to be back in Malaysia and continuously thanking us for still supporting them :') oh yeah, being typical boy band which depending highly on their looks & appearance (though not as cute as before :P ), i think they changed their clothes about 5 times that night which i thought not necessary (=.=)'
anyway, i still love them and yes, being there watching them live again, really remind me of my good old days when i was young and madly crazily over them. i miss those days and now, i miss the lads too. you can read how i was head over heels with them here.
here are the some pictures of that night. taken with my hp camera though so the quality is quite bad.
can't you tell how excited am i???!! yeah, my boyfriend was bored to death as he was torturing himself to listen to Westlife :P he was once happy when Westlife sang Coldplay's Viva La Vida :P
it's Mark Feehily!!
yeah..it's over
last but not least, this is the one of the videos i recorded! ignore the scream ok? :P
