Avillion Resort & Spa Port Dickson

Assalammualaikum wbt,

It has been sometime I didn't update here. New year's resolution to frequently updating my blog seems to be in the drain now.. As I am typing this, we just got home from our 1 day vacation in.......Port Dickson aje...hahaha. But, it still big to us because this is our first family holiday ever! At Hanif Aiden's age of 1yo 4mo it is. It just 1 night stay because Hanif Aiden's parents is broke they can only afford for that at the moment.. Hahaha. On the other note, it is quite a pricey rate (for people like me) but we got a great deal from the recent Matta Fair (definitely will go again in September).

It supposed to be like approximately 1 hour journey but with a baby, it took almost 2 hours! We stopped to feed him lunch, making milk, yada yada. Our checked in time is at 3pm, and for the first time parents travelling, we sure did bring lotsa luggages. We booked a water chalet and it costed us RM360 per night albeit its original price at RM500+. Anyway, for my personal view, this water chalet not benefits us much since we have a baby and we kept the door closed at most time. Well, the balcony is quite dangerous for a small kid and we do not want to take the risk. We requested for baby cot and they didn't charged us for that phew. For me, the room is quite small and maybe doesn't quite well maintained. There is no knobs on the cupboard, there is rubbish under the closet, the fridge doesn't work.. But, yeah, we weren't that fussy anyway.. I do love their bathroom although we didn't quite utilizing it...hahaha. I love the shower and you can actually see the sea below you while taking shower and praying there is no one might swimming underneath hahaha. There are 2 beds which could accomodate 3-4 adults. Perfect for family with 2 children.

We didn't do much of activities here although we tried to bring Hanif Aiden to the beach and he didn't quite like it. Maybe because well, Port Dickson's beaches aren't that clean teehehe. So, we just took him to the swimming pool instead. Oh boy, he had a hell lot of fun pretending swimming with Daddy which on the other note, Daddy himself can't swim :P I'm pretty sure Daddy had fun too bathing in kids' pool without people judging him...hahaha, there are other Daddies there too btw. Being a lazy parents like us, we didn't go anywhere outside the hotel, not even to the 3D museum that most people hyped about nor to the Muzium Tentera that we planned to go earlier, well, we might if we lengthen our stay.. But well, there is no assurance on that too. Heck, we didn't even tour this hotel. We are the type of people that taking holiday to rest away from our chaotic life, ignoring all the office calls and just snuggle inside the hotel comfortable bed with a full blast air-cond.. Did I tell you that they even have the Pillow Menu? This is my first time seeing it, a bit of ummm jakun there...tehehe.

                                              Oh boy, he was scared

                                  Lemme watch the sea from here ok Daddy?

This hotel has a mini farm with animals like chicken, rabbits and peacocks. But for peacock, they are mostly move about freely in the hotel's area. Kinda like Pulau Pangkor Beach Resort I used to stay before. And yeah, Hanif Aiden not quite amazed with these creatures. He didn't abused them (Thank God) but he just couldn't care less. First is the beach, now the animals, I guess he's not really a nature enthusiast. This farm activities include feeding the animals daily at 10am and bathing them at 11am every Sunday. Not that I took part since Hanif Aiden doesn't show much interest earlier.

We didn't take dinner inside the hotel because if you have a kid, it's nearly impossible to eat in peace or trying out all on the buffet spread. It would be wasted, plus they aren't cheap either. We just had dinner outside and no worries, there are plenty of restaurants there. Luckily we went on weekdays and these places weren't pack with people much. We had dinner at Satay Station because my friend has been recommending this ever since I was in CIMB years ago but I never had a chance to try since it's in KL. But now, this restaurants have few branches including the one in Shah Alam. Not bad, although it's quite pricey, RM1.60 per stick for Chicken Satay but fret not the meat chunk is big. They are tender and juicy too. We also ordered Nasi Goreng Kampung alongside because these 2 tekak Melayu need rice or else it isnt't considered a proper meal.

As usual, our stay is provided with Breakfast Buffet and they were ok lah.. I had sunny side up and omelette for husband and that girl who attended the egg station must've broken up with her boyfriend recently.. She smiled but seemed synical and girl, you no need to bang that pan too loud. It is not like I ordered Ostrich egg or something peculiar (-__-) As usual, typical hotel would serve choices of pastries (they served cold pastries grr..), fruit cuts with yogurt, nasi lemak (my husband claimed it was surprisingly good), rice noodle soup, sausages, baked beans, porriddge, choices of cereals yada yada. Too bad, there are no hash-brown waaa. I had roti canai but to my dissapointment it was quite hard :( Hanif Aiden made a spilled on the table and the server there quickly provided us tissues. The perks of bringing a child to dine, expect a massive mess. What a joy hahahaha. Oh yes, the hotel attendants here quite friendly, they would put their hand on their right chest as a greetings gesture us whenever wherever they see the hotel occupants. It warms me because I work in customer-service line too and that exactly what I would do to my customers (except the hand-on-the-chest part and provided when I'm in the office only).

After having the breakfast, again, we brought Hanif Aiden to take a final dip in the swimming pool before we checking out later that day. As usual, he was so excited! But his Daddy didn't ever let him go on his own, just because we are over-protective like that (and because Hanif Aiden is scarred). My heart burst with happiness seeing him laugh with his Daddy in the water. We didn't let him playing too long in the pool, because the day started to get hotter and we worried that he might get a fever.

This hotel also provides kids spa and nursery whereby you can drop your baby and the staff there would babysit them while you do whatever you like. I didn't inquire much about this as we did not have intention to do so but that was what we've been told when we made our booking at Matta Fair. Although we may want to go to the spa, maybe Mommy and Daddy would take turns instead. Paranoid much? Hehehe. This is the kids spa menu. Bloody expensive, you can use that amount for your own spa pleasure.

We checked out later at 11.30am, half an hour earlier as Daddy need to catch the time for Friday prayers at my hometown, Lenggeng. Family time sure is the best time. I hope we could spend time for another holiday. Well, next Matta Fair please. These are some of the hotel's photos;

Until the next holiday! Mommy and Daddy gotta work hard to pay for the hotel first though. Whatabout backpacking, Hanif Aiden are you up for this?
