christmas gift exchange

christmas is approaching soon. well, it's not like i'm celebrating it. no. but, every year at CIMB, they would held a christmas gift exchange among staffs at every department. for this year, they already put a minimum of rm20 for the gift's value. i quite understand of this rule because this is to avoid some people cheating by giving cheap stuffs which would be unfair those who receive it. well, anyway, the process is going like this, we were required to give ourselves a pseudonym and write them on paper. then, after all pseudonyms are collected, each of us had to pick randomly that pseudonym to determine to whom we would buy gift for. i chose a name Fleur. well, it is stand for "flower" in French :P

all the gifts must be brought last Monday and were arranged under a small christmas tree in our office.

look at them. so colourful right??

so, today was the day of the presents giving ceremony. all of us were gathered around at this tree's area, and each of us were called forward to receive the gifts. on the presents' surface, we already pasted the pseudonym of the receiver and our name. so, the name called are based on that. it's a very relaxing and a cheerful short moment to escape from work and had a laugh since some of the pseudonyms are so funny.

guess what i've got:

jeng jeng jeng..a very bright red-coloured bag..what could it be?

tadaaa!!!!
OMG. i'm loving it to bits!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and now i can replace my ugly looking paper bag..yippeee!!

i was sooooooo excited to receive this gift because well, first, i bring home-packed lunch everyday and i need a proper bag to place my food containers. i already searched for it at Ikea, Parkson and Jusco but couldn't find any. sooo...can you imagine how excited i am to receive this?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it can be sooooo convenient to be brought on train, it is more neat, lighter, and you are worry-free from the thought that your paper bag might be leaked & tear up.

i guess, maybe this person who given me this gift already know who i am. maybe she/he already looked at my real name at the pseudonyms' list and see me that i bring home-packed lunch everyday and eat at pantry :P seriously, i'm so thrilled and excited, well, till now. of course, all my colleagues laughed and say that this gift fits me perfectly since my tumbler also broken due to my stupidity filled my tumbler with hot water. haha. i think the person who gave me this Tupperware set is a Tupperware dealer? :-?

oh, by the way. for this activity, me myself gave a Body Shop shower gel + lotion set. it's the fastest and easiest gift i could find because Body Shop already put their products in pretty boxes + baskets for Christmas celebration. hihihihi :P

yes, must be you guys thought it's not good for Muslim like me to celebrate others' festive but, as i always believe, this is not i wanted, but i work there, so, i'm just doing my part as a worker. i take it as my other job responsibility and no intention at all to celebrate or even to praise over at others' festive celebration. what's important is respect and your real intention. so, chill lah! :P
